Just priced up bag of MOT 1 for a project, culvert crossing access to new wood, last time i bought some about two years ago it was £38 less 10% from Wickes - now it's going to be £68.50 less 10%.

Others are even dearer in the £70/80s and many haven't got any.

Nearly had heart attack  - had thought about getting two just to be on the safe side.

Most building materials are mad expensive at the moment. Probably a perfect storm of inflation and shortages.

It certainly has gone mad, I bought some joists last week, it made me feel bilious just thinking about it.

Don't forget quarries and sawmills have had to change to white diesel. Even the forklifts in builders merchants will be on white now.

A local place does crushed stone for circa £20/ton 🤐

Loose is certainly cheaper but trouble is I don't need a lot. Understand about white diesel but surely only a portion of the overall cost.
