We did at least equalise, and were unlucky not to force extra time.

A shadow of his normal self. One of his great strengths was receiving the ball high up the pitch, with his back to goal under pressure, then playing it to advancing midfielders.

I did not see him do that once the whole time.

I did not see him do that once the whole time.

Tripped over his own feet every time her got the ball. In fact I’ve rarely seen him to much else than that

I feel that I'm blessed, having watched England win a major international football competition.

 

I will remember the happiness that the win brought to everyone.

 

I'll certainly never forget the day of the win . . . . . . . . . . . .
