3120xp 300th anniversary edition

I have a 3120XP 300TH Anniversary 1989 Edition Saw, is it possible to get a piston and rings for this,  Saw will start but won't run.

Genuine Husqvarna pistons and rings are now obsolete. You should be able to find some aftermarket suppliers though.

 

I would do a compression test, and (if you have the equipment) a leak down test before assuming it is piston and rings etc.

Not as well regarded as meteor but cheap enough to try, OEM from L&S about £115 if they can get them

Pretty sure you can still get a genuine 3120 piston, the only difference was to the cylinder was the exhaust bolts, the early one was a squared headed bolt that hooked into the cylinder, the later one was an m6 screw into the cylinder, the piston always remained the same, it was still used in the K1260 not so long ago before the K1270 mk1, and finally the K1270 mk11, I can check availability if you wish.

Im fairly sure that they are still available. A customer was asking about one quite awhile ago but it was this year.

I think somebody was pulling your chain, I fitted one last week in a K1260 rail, I will check for sure tomorrow.

Admittedly I haven't been a Husky main dealer for a good few years, so now go through an intermedary for husky parts and that's what they tell me . I stand to be corrected though
