Ear defenders

I always used to wear disposable ear plugs rather than ear muffs. 35-37 snr, which I believe is probably higher rated than any ear defenders on the market that i'm aware of.

Switching to plugs was one of the best things I ever did, specially in the summer. Ear defenders would make me sweat bucket loads and i'd end up with a sweat rash on my neck.

i used the DIY silicon mouldable kit ones for a good while until i lost one, they work well and stay in and don't irritate my ears like the plastic ones, not sure the rating but they were good enough for me and i usually wear the 32db chipper ear defenders,  plus you can attach a cord that comes with the kit.

Brand i used was LugGuards.
