For boards its a year per inch form Outside to Centre. Good luck as I've never been able to get a dick to not split.

There is a thread here somewhere where there was a lot of experimentation and hard work and technical description as t why the inside shrinks but due o the circumference shrinking the same % it would inevitably split and go pacman.

A disk like that will dry fairly quickly if you let it, as the fibres containing the moisture are really short.  It could be pretty dry in a few months but probably longer if your garage is cool.

 

As has been hinted at already it is almost certain to split as it dries.

If you scroll down to 31st Jan there’s a short thread and I’m sure as mentioned there was a thread on the milling forum, but can’t find it from a quick scan through the last few pages.

I thought it was some arboricultural technical term I hadn’t come across.
