Hello all,

having issues charging one of my BLi300 batteries.

I have cleaned the ports, turned on and off etc and tried to the charging port with another battery that works fine.

a red warning light comes on. Then switches off and doesn’t begin to charge. (See video)

any advice or help would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Maybe something has gone bad in the Battery Management System.

I have some cheap Aldi cordless stuff and this has happened to one of my batteries. It was easy enough to split the pack and check each cell voltage. As I couldn't find the fault I bought 5 individual chargers off ebay for a fiver and charged each cell separately to 3.6V (only while I was nearby to monitor as I don't trust lithium cells not to burst into flame). Real pain but saves throwing the battery.

The battery has been used and fully charged less than 10 times. So still in its early stages of life.

It was left with no charge for a week. Have left it for a couple of hours and will try and again.

A week without charge shouldn't really be an issue but it is always worth charging batteries at the end of the day.

How did you get on?
