Copper Beech trunk available

Hi,

I was wondering if there are any takers for this trunk. It is approx 6 metres long and about 80cm at butt.The trunk is situated near Canterbury and my usual buyer has sold his machinery and moved into a different market. Be a shame to cut it up for logs so anyone interested please reply.

Slightly off topic I'm afraid Dave, but is that a complete graft between the two stems?

He knows a bloke who is after butts for milling (not sure about Beech), based in Shadoxhurst, just the other side of Ashford.

Yes it is a complete graft between the two stems, quite incredible and a natural brace for the tree which did have a tight fork. Shame to lose her however on site there are more mature and impressive specimens, also a fantastic Ash there. I think my colleague may have some shots of it standing if so will post some up for you. I always try and pass on butts etc to millers and turners seems a waste to burn it all, it's one thing to lose the tree but if it can be turned into something of use then its life and beauty can be appreciated in a different way.
