yes its called a bench grinder and if i blunt a chain out on a job i always have several spare saves alot of time and hassle out on a job.

Rubbish :001_rolleyes:

I have read some stuff on here but using a bench grinder to sharpen chain takes the biscuit!

Another piece of advice Mr Testpicket; try using an angle grinder, or better still, a file, but i guess some training may be needed for the latter by the sounds of it.

No, not trying to offend you fella, just reading some of the posts and threads you have made, you seem to have some very strange views and ways. Almost novice like.

strange views and ways to some people and good views and good ways to others you could say. care to explain what strange views and ways i have?

I think to not sharpen a saw on site is very strange,

if i have to i will. ive got the vallorbe sharpening kit in my bag always, i just choose to have a couple of spare chains if needed. if i go through them i will sharpen on site. i find better results useing my oregon bench grinder sharpening my chains at end of the day.
