iv seen them in honey bros, althou its an amerian idea. you can get one from sheriltree.com as i believe they are the importers, any1 else will stick a cut on the price.

i noticed my boss has one, it looked very shiny, just like the rest of his kit!!

 

i remember a similar one years ago, it had a bit of velcro on the end!!

There's a guy I have worked with who has problems with his shoulder dislocating if he stretches too far. He has a modified version of these. His was an old fishing hook which a guy just cut the sharp end off and put a little round ball on the end. It extends to about 2m or so. It makes climbing a lot easier for him. For example if you get your rope over a good branch but you can't reach. Out comes the extendable arm and it's back to you in no time!
