For the sake of a few hundred quid I'd prefer to have someone who can legally sign off the works do it.

 

If the place burns down the original installer will go not my work and your insurance will null you're claim.

 

That's also the same for any chimney sweep, if that's not certified same applies to you're insurance.

If it needs dismantling is the flue attached to the roof?

If the stoves been installed properly the flue should be fully supported by a hanger in the roof timbers as the stove shouldn't be bearing any weight.It would be straightforward to swing the flue 180° but you would need to check that in doing so, the straight between the offset angles didn't fall foul  of the 3x diameter rule from the ceiling

I thought that ‘stove installers’ were one of the professions that price in multiples of thousands.
