Processing my own wood for stove in West Sussex, need a supply

Hi

 

I have a basic ability to process my own wet wood for my wood burner, chain saw, drying area etc.

But what's the best way to get said wood?

Is it worth contacting tree surgeons local to me to ask if they want to dispose of a load, should I also offer to pay their petrol costs?

Any tips please?

Yes it's worth asking local firms, especially if you will offer something by way of payment. And register yourself as a Tip Site as well

Also do not be fussy with what you want, all dry wood is good wood to burn in a wood burner.  I got my supply by contacting local tree surgeons.

Well worth asking the local estate for a price too. Often they will deliver a decent sized load on a tractor and trailer.
