I'd be well chuffed with that Matt.

I know I'd have thrown the toys out the pram after about 10 minutes, invented some BS story about 'conifer cancer', then felled it.

Aye, That conifer cancer is rife up here, Every tricky one i come across has it :confused1:

Your going to have a long and productive career lad, if your eyes in at 17 and you get some big wood in before too long youll be well on your way. I would employ you any day of the week.

Thanks for the kind words mate. Your more than welcome to employ me!:laugh1: Unfortunately un-employed atm. But, saying that im being given a few days climbing by a local guy for the rest of the week. really by the book bloke. I just hope it goes well.

Thanks for the positive comments everybody:biggrin:

Nice job Matt and I applaud your efforts. :thumbup1:

Cant help but feel the owners should have had the balls to cull the thing and put it out of its misery. Nice tree, wrong location – these belong in parks, cemeteries and manor house front lawns. Fair-play though Matt, hope you gave them your number – you’ll be doing a little repeat business in the coming years. :001_smile:

I cant see why your disapointed with the final job!

Like all other comments looks really good

Shows that you have gotten out there to all the ends and fiddly bits:

Thanks mate, just thought it was a bit more fitting to say I wasnt massively happy, instead of "hey look at this Sh*t hot reduction ive done on a small tree for my cousin, im the best and ive only been doing this 18 months!" which gets said all to often I think. Thanks for the words mate, means alot coming from experienced proffessionals. (or whatever you lot are:001_tt2:)

Get used to it mate.....'cause that's 90% of arb work! Nice reduction on the Cedar though. :

I hope not buddy, Ive loved every minute so far. Thanks for the comments:thumbup1:

You will be looking after that tree for years to come, preventing it from out growing its environment, it will earn you respect, experience and maybe a few pounds. It will teach you about tree biology and reactions to pruning.

It will be a habitat for birds, bats, insects, lichens, mosses and fungi.

Why offer to fell it, when you can manage it?

Keep up the high standard!

Thanks Doug. Hadn't really looked at it from that angle, I suppose your right. Its the only thing that diffrentiates her property from every other in her concrete jungle of an estate. Its a nice tree with no defects etc. I guess it will be nice to really look at the work ive done in the years to come. Thanks for your input buddy:thumbup1:
