The one in the video does have a dead man's handle, you will just need to rig the string round the handle then round the safety handle so when you let go the motor will stop.

I was thinking i would have to tie/tape the handle on, aye that should work and definately a bit safer.

 

Been thinking about it and had visons of a slow motion slide down the banking towards the spinning lawnmower blades,

Like a really crap james bond baddies tac😃tic

Surely you could deftly kick the mower aside before gently coming to rest at the bottom of the slope in a water bed beside a beautiful woman...
