Apparently not. Sorry John can't help but Echo always seem to have an overlap when they bring out a new version like their CS-361WESand CS-362WES which also look like the same saw.

Apparently the CS-621SX is the "low emissions" version. Whether this means it runs crap and will be hard to start i have no idea..

Have they added a cat to the exhaust? This is what happened to Dolmar saws to make them low emission, slightly less power but not bad overall effect.

Ahh, i do not know... I know when you look at the catalogue the 620 apparently will pull a 28" bar, but for the 621 they say 24" and the figures say slightly less power too???

Hi All,

Thinking of getting a bigger saw. I can see that you all love the CS-620, but what about the latest version the CS-621SX???

Anyone got one??

john..

621SX is an updated version of 620SX. Added few external durability improvements like starter metal inserts, metric threaded crankcase screws, updated roller catcher.

New clutch cover has captive nuts (same as 7310).

Internally - engine has slightly more low end torque and unnoticeably less at higher speeds. Different porting and ignition map.

Piston is now ventilated, has echo-specific hard coating, has higher thermal durability upper cage bearing, different piston pin and differrent rings.

It is the same saw, just differrent cylinder plating and additional felling mark.

Well, the latest 362TES mod includes more aggressive ignition mapping at low revs but that one did not change the last “update digit”
