Long story but I’m getting a new connection to my house foc three phase, I take it that I can use one phase to power the house and leave the others to run the new workshop dose this stop me having three phase tools in the workshop?

im having trouble getting my supplier to instal a meter they want to disconnect the existing single phase but ukpn can’t connect on the same day so we will be without electric they are exchanging a single phase overhead for a three phase, can I instal my own meter reading on the web it seems possible so long as I have my mpan number
