Evening all

I am looking to be pointed in the right direction as to what councils are looking for when they say to present them with my company portfolio, to go on their approved contractor list.I am assuming they want my tickets, insurance, work quality, financial backround, health a safety etc.

Would any one be able to give me some pointers on this matter as all my work up to now has been private contracts.

Many thanks in advance to all.

a portfolio usually shows off previous work, how about including a list of jobs done, description of job and some nice pics?

never had to do this before so just an idea.

The councils in Cornwall stopped having an approved contractors list some time ago, don't know if it's the same else where?

The local council we work for gets 4 firms to quote for all the works then picks the cheapest. Means the only jobs you get are the ones you under priced... Still it is work and you don't have to book it in.

Ask the council what they want. It may include your recent TPO work applications and inspections of your work.

Round here you need AA approved status.
