Is it safe to to remove these leylandii

Question

These  leyllandii (in the photo below) were planted 15 to 20 years before the patio wall was built and the trunks of the tree are 3 to 4 inches from back of the wall.

I am thinking of cutting these trees behind the wall down at ground level and leaving the remaider of the tree and roots in the ground.

I am wondering if in time  when the stub and roots rot  will the foundations and wall become unstable

Disagree there John, I'd say a greyhound is far more suited to a flat than many other breeds. They tend to like short exercise periods and lots of sleeping/doing as little as possible in between.

See, i learnt something then!!! I do not know much about dogs at all.. Always wondered how they convince a greyhound to chase a mechanical rabbit!!

They don't take much convincing. Ones I've known will go after anything that moves quickly, even a leaf in the wind. But they only like doing it briefly, then want hours to recover!

Bizarre dogs, other half used to rehome them from Walthamstow dog track, they didnt move from sofa, until they  could chase something 😳 k
