My 365 special has a reluctant decompression button that is reluctant to fully pop out after firing. I was initially wondering if your apparent loss of compression was due to something similar.

Have you unscrewed the de comp valve and cleaned it with some WD40 and a tooth brush ?  failing that just fit a new one .

It may have just been flooded and the time it was stood, allowed the cylinder to dry out but glad it is running again. always good when a saw fires up again like that.

After a bit of hibernation It got fired up recently to do some cross cutting I didn’t want the MS 260 to be burdened with. I’ll give it an ease off before using it again.[emoji1303]

Just don't use the decomp. The type fitted lower the compression to the point that the saw tends not to start too easily. You could fit the type on the later model 346, it should have a smaller vent hole!

I have had mine from new 18 years, never failed and been a great saw.
