Is any one needed to service their smart winch? Our inner winch itself is wobbling little bit and just thinking is that maybe bad thing
Sorry to state the obvious but have you checked the bolts are properly screwed in. There's some info on the safety sheet that came with it.
Also, we tightened the capstan, as it was a bit loose on arrival.

Many thanks to all for that emoji108.png I guess with the smart winch one would have to keep a big stein block for chogging the stem down

To be honest I would do that anyway. They're both expensive bits of kit and it'll be a stinger if you whack it with a big bit of timber.

There's some minor play in my winch bollard too. I think that's alright, but harken have a lot of info on winch bollard maintenance. It's not that complicated, and very common place in yacht racing.

Used neither, have used sailing winches elsewhere, own a Hobbs. If I was buying, it would be the Smartwinch. Not having to change from the winch to the bollard will be a massive advantage, as will being able to use the bollard and winch at the same time. Can't see a downside. My opinion might change if I discovered the SWL of the Smartwinch bollard was noteworthily less than the GRCS bollard but even if it was, I'd probably still go with the Smartwinch and keep a cheap Stein dual in the back of the shed for rare jobs that need repeated heavy negative rigging.

Update. I’ve just discovered you can’t really use the bollard and winch at the same time. The ropes foul each other.
