its a bit crazy you guys having to go abroad to get them when you can buy them of the shelf over here fom any stihl dealer considering we are part of the uk!!!!

If I remember rightly, Stihl UK does not cover Northern Ireland. Nothing to do with politics more like logistics I guess.

Its not that they are not fit for use in the Uk, there are perfectly fit, but stihl UK don't do them. They must be CE marked though they are sold all over Europe? No? I would guess that because you need a license to buy a tophandle saw in the UK, Stihl UK don't want to offer us proffessionals a cheaper option and the market is not big enough to have two models, but in Europe where no such restriction apply, no domestic type would buy an expensive 200t but the 192t is an attractive alternative.

Thats my guess anyway.

Compared them in France last year in a country store.

Lass pointed to MS200T saying 'professional' and 192T saying 'amateur'.

Says it all really. Nice and light, but IMO put the 192 money aside, save your pocket money for another week and buy an O2O. Sorry, MS200T.

And amateur aren't supposed to buy tophandles in the UK so not much point marketing it here? Thats just my guess.

In Northern Ireland if its available form Stihl Eire, then no worries. The Uk laws should still apply to amateur not buying it.
