dog in truck

Crate him in the truck, make sure hes dry, and has a good warm bed.

My working Cocker wears a Barbour jacket when I leave her in the vehicle between drives or when Im working one of the other dogs, but she only wears this on cold, wet days.

She may look silly, but shes got a very fine coat and works like a nutter so has no fat on her. This way I keep her alive, and fit. Working Cockers have been known to die in the cold and wet when working, due to huge drops in their blood sugar levels. These little dogs give 110% every time they are out.

My mate has a very bad-tempered little Jack Russell with terminal halitosis in his truck, it won't let you back in if you get out (unless you threaten it with a stick). Its finest moment was when it release a long squirt of canine diarrhoea onto the lap of one of his climbers!

Used to take my terrier to work until I spent 3 hours trying to extract her from under the canal bank near the job where she was in pursuit of a large coypu or Ragadan as they call um here.

Terrier 1 coypu 0

Buggered the day up and I got the impression that the client was no too pleased.
