I have the above about 3 years old. Recently been blowing white smoke and black oil through muffler and stopping. Cleaned carb and muffler. I noticed that there are no carb nor muffler gaskets on this model. Is this correct please?. Will the situation become better if I fit the appropriate gaskets?.

Thanks everybody for reading.

I just took the exhaust off my MS181, slightly bigger model, slightly older, no gasket in that one either, but I guess exhaust / muffler side it isn't so important.

(the hedge trimmers work OK with very worn gaskets on the carb side too, a tear here and there, but that's on the to do list)
