The inexperienced really do need bear in mind that there is aways far more going on in the execution of a good job than can be seen on ANY video.

Nice job and I'm a tad motion sick too! For retrieval I like to use a webbing sling, small pulley and light lowering line/tag line. Just choker the sling below where you are cutting. If you use all rigging tackle then you can use the retrieval line to slow the swing.
