the retrieval line was just the tail end of my climbing line with a krab attached.....then clipped to a krab on my harness to keep it at hand. obviously you have to be exceptionally cautious and make sure your line isnt going to get snagged....not the best technique to promote perhaps:001_rolleyes:

well the thing is, the camera only shows one perspective, it doesnt show that where my line was there was no chance of it snagging....someone inexperienced could easily overlook that and apply the technique to everything.

Very good point!!

 

The inexperienced really do need bear in mind that there is aways far more going on in the execution of a good job than can be seen on ANY video.
