Hi

I've got a 2008 ford ranger wildtrack 3.0 tdci

The standard rims on at the min are 16inch and I wanted to put some bigger rims on probably 18inch

Question is what size rims do I have to get or do I have to get spacers as a lot of the newer models don't fit my vehicle

I don't have a clue with this kind of stuff

Thanks in advance

Go on to one of the many tyre rim calculator sites and they will give you multiple different wheel/tyre combinations that will still keep you within the original specs. 18 inch is gonna end up needing lower profile tyres !!, is that the look what you are after ??.

Ah ok I didn't really want low profiles I wanted bigger rims but with beefy tires

If there is enough room under the arches you can fit taller rubber . It will just make your gearing slightly  taller and maybe put the speedo out a tad .

a good garage should be able to help you out mate

they can look at what you have and tell you what will fit and go from there

i have a 2018 ranger and put 20" wheels on with 32" K02's

stock suspension, no rubs no nothing

16” wheel size should offer good options just go for a taller profile Tyre. What you got on at the minute ?. Afraid you can’t have it all as standard ie bigger rims and chunkier tyres 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️. I run a 3.2 wild track and if the chance arises I’ll drop back to 17” probs off a limited model. I’d happily lose a bit of rim diameter for a taller profile off road tyre, I’ll wait till the factory fit tyres are done before  I change anything.
