Crane costs

I'm after an idea for a day rate for crane hire in Kent.

Needs to be capable of lifting tops off 90' pops, 3'DBH at about 20m outreach, so I'm guessing 50tonne at least? (may be well out here).

Do they provide strops/chains, or do you have to supply your own?

Any recommendations for a tree-savvy crane co. in Kent would help.

This is for a subby job, and I'm trying to sell the crane idea, but need a few costings first.

Thanks fellas.

when i say work i mean they rescued a digger for me and i rescued a crane for them!

That bit would put me off hiring them:scared1:

Get a 50 tonner if you can they are awesome:thumbup1:

They will have loads of slings and chains, actually best person to ask would be RCO he has done the odd crane job I think :001_tongue:

funny story. plant hire firm tried to collect a 18ton excavator with a rigid plant lorry that was far too small. tracked machine onto the deck, guy chained it on then slewed round and picked up the buckets up at full stretch lifted them up and flipped the lorry ontop of the digger.

crane company sent a 50ton all terrain crane out to upright everything but it sank through the fresh tarmac drive that had just been fitted and couldnt move. i was sent over there with the CAT D8 to drag the crane out..........40 odd ton dozer on recently laid tarmac makes a mess!
