No you have masked the symptoms.

 

The fault will still be there.

No he means the stub axle shaft will be bent at the weld to the box drop arm. It should be replaced. The wheel won't track well and in time the tyre will ware on the corner of tread.

Um as for the legal issues for trailers before I got my old mill that was on a trailer we had a thread on hear all about it and in the end I rang the dvsa and a firm that sell trailers and quote under 750 kilos no paper work is needed

Sadly you were mislead.

 

All trailer made since 2014 need to have an IVA / COC / Type approval.

How trailers are inspected when they're being approved under the Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) scheme to make sure...

 

 

Sub 750kg trailers are class 01 & need approval.
