Have you had a look at Rock Machinerys 13hp offering? £1600.

I looked at these and it’s just the teeth that worry me on these

Always this conversion if you find they standard teeth not up to the job. Yes, another grand, but you might not even need it. The standard teeth might surprise you?

Im waiting til I have some spare cash and I'll be buying this, unless a used Rayco comes on the market for under £2000. Its what I borrow off of a Tree Surgeon mate and I really like it for grinding out my 20-30" dbh stumps. But I have loads of wee stumps to come out as well, or will have when I drop the trees.

Do you want to buy new or secondhand?

£2k is about the secondhand rate for machines like Predator 360, Carlton Rayco etc. I would say they are all ok on smaller stumps, I like the turntable on the predator as it's easier to swing than moving wheel through the chip. These machines are £4k ish new.

The £1k new Chinese machines do apparently work, just going to need more fixing and maybe not last as long.

Got the rock machinery grinder.
Works well. Teeth are ok. Can be resharpened quite afew times but are £85 a set.

Bits do fall of it occasionally but easy fixed. Had to replace a clutch and bearings totalling £150 in a year of hard graft.

Briggs engine should last id have thought.

There’s a rayco rg13 for sale for £2600 near me but I can’t stretch that much at the mo as the misses will string me up lol
