towing people out

I live on a fairly steep hill and you wouldn't believe the people that don't slow down even when its covered with a sheet of ice :001_rolleyes: We saw a couple of accidents before the council closed the road.

I towed a couple of women back up the hill with my Ranger after they got half way down and realised they couldn't stop and turned into the curb :laugh1: I wouldn't dream of charging anyone as it was just a bit of fun. If someone called me up at 5am I think I'd want more than £20 though!

On Weds this week we had a job to do in Highgate (N. London), woke up Weds morning and everything covered in 2 inches of snow again:( Thought North London might have escaped the snow this time, so phoned the customer up at 6.50 and they said no snow, so off we went.

I had a couple of quotes to do as well so we took the 7.5t Iveco, 150 TW chipper and my Navara. All the way in (from Woking) it was snowing, so beginning to think the customer only looked at his bedroom floor, and not outside:(

We were going up Bishops Avenue which is on a bit of a hill, and some pratt coming down the hill did not give way to my lorry going up the hill, so we had to stop.

Lorry wouldnot move again just spinning away, and the arse end sliding towards the parked cars!

Backed the Navara up and tied a tow rope to the lorry, put the Navara in low range, and it proceeded to pull the 7.5t Iveco and the chipper upthe hill!!

I was impressed!! :) :)
