big tree, big saw, good work!

Thanks, there was a pretty huge limb that was about 45foot that went laterally between two trees, over the road and fence and touched the trees on the otherside!

We had five pulley involved in spreading the load from the tips to the trunk.Snatching the logs off that stem made for a bouncy ride alright!

I have a video clip of felling the Spar yesterday that I will try to upload.

TreeBogan.

Assuming your groundie is around 5ft 8"

I calculate the tree to be 116.8 ft high.

Did you measure it?

Yes,Yes we did measure it.My 59inch bar was unable to make a complete backcut so I am able to tell you it was infact over 59inches through at the butt:wave:

1) I like Big stuff

2)Big bars are for big Trees and enable the faller to

make all cuts from one side of the Tree.

3)Double "gob" cuts, boring the center out of the tree

and quarter cutting the back cut etc.Take much

longer.

1. What u aint got in tha chrotch u have to lay hands on...

2. True, too long a bar makes a lot of teeth to sharpen...

3. and safer...

Ever tried a 088 with 70cm bar? Bet thats faster felling than your saw...:proud:

Roaring fast cutting chogs for firewood....

Im not trying to be smart, its just that its a bit too american showoff with a bar that length....Like rainforrest molestors...
