how long the guy leaves it is up to him, its his wallet but me and the client had "that" chat and has been made aware that in an ideal world it would be done inside 5 years, 8 at longest, does that de confuse this point ?:001_huh:

My confusion, is caused by what appears to be a contradiction in your posts.

 

Initially you say the customer did not want to have the cut again for 10 years and that you cut it in the way you did for this reason.

 

But then in a later post you say in order for the tree to benefit from your work it should not be left to long before the next cut.

Tony, you took a bit of a kicking on this thread, but i ask in the spirit you expressed here;

 

I am just glad i managed to contribute to somebodies learning, thats what i am here to get too. lmao:thumbup:

 

 

i'm interested to see how the tree responded - did you take any further photos?

I think yoo went to the edge on this one -fingers crossed no bark burn or infection gets in, but crown reductions for the sake of making the tree smaller are a rubbish idea fr lots of reasons, but chin up - it is way bettre than most I have seen or been asked to do, Kx
