About 1-2mm kerf difference.
That should equate to about 10%.speed increase if all else is equal.

Oh so it's not that much of a difference then. And i would imagine with the larger teeth you get more life out of a .404 chain too.

Tested the 881’s cross cutting ability with a 30” .404
Very tasty?emoji106.pngemoji106.pngemoji106.png

I ran that 3120 with a ⅜ 28" bar on it. When back barring i had the back handle against my thigh because the saw pushed back so hard. It wouldn't even bog down pushing it hard.

Was watching some Aussies the other day, up a tree with an 880 running a 25" bar.

Ms660 is being discontinued in 3rd world countries and the buying spree world wide has gone crazy. Looks like even 3rd world will see strato design slowly in every range0665e83926ca4371bc162be1b1655721.jpg

I'm wondering what the difference in pull/load is between running a 36" in ⅜ or .404.

Since .404 is bigger teeth, but less of them. Maybe it works out the same. ?

I put this together but never tried it like this. Did run it with a 28" and it was bloody fierce though! ?

I ran this locals with a 20" one time working on it.

But this last time when in. I pulled the 404 rim off put a 3/8 8T and a 16" for kicks.  It is woods ported. H side tunable carb.  Unlimited coil.

He normally runs 42 44 60 72 inch bars on it.

Yeah i bet you can plow that into anything and it wouldn't even notice.

Did MMWS do the carb conversion to adjust the H side?

Love the full wrap on it. Like rocking horse shit to get hold of.

stock 880 muffler is one of the worst among the clogged one's I've seen on other models and make. Closed the oem opening since it has to through a maze before leaving, opened 2 tube style outlet. Dual port muffler now6eadd405cf0b0b001e8a6552e268a6f5.jpg9fb5107e1f938be45d5e2e135c3a2b35.jpg

Never seen inside one of the newer 880 mufflers with the cover.  Any pics of the insides of those?  Only seen the cast one. Cant stand that cast.
