I appreciate all the advice, thanks to everyone.

I have been offered a 2004 kwikchip 222 for 3k. its meant to be 6 inch but the apperture is about 8-9 but it weighs 1100kgs and i'm not so sure my old tranny will pull it with a load.

also looked at the Entec Trukloader, saw one for sale for about £2500. It deffinately looks like its got lots of spirit! and I can see by the threads that I was lead to on here that they come with bags of nostalgia for alot of people. even though I am tempted, not sure the gravity feed'll do much for my arthritis....

I've got a 6 inch gravely, good chipper runs all day on a tank full, i paid 1600 for it 3 years ago,why not hire first try a few, when you find one you like you can start looking for a bargain,i'd leave the truck loda alone, look out for a tw 150 at the very least, remember a bigger chipper will chip small stuff with ease but a small chipper will struggle when you start putting bigger stuff through it,but thats just my opinion.

I promise a tw/125 is the best of the bunch for your needs so small yet powerful enough to handle everything i chuck at it and we use it for big jobs. Orange plant will be one of the best places to buy from as they really do understand what customer service and aftersales is all about and thats why you pay a price for.

I went there and over 2.5 years my machine has been impressive no break downs just sharp blades new belts and MAINTENANCE:sneaky2:
