I'm just about gonna get through the winter.been in the log game for 20 years so seen it up,seen it down so to speak.if its a tree surgery by-product and not your bread and butter then by all means have a quick killing,happy days,if its your winter living then you have to approach differently obviously.my logs are 65 quid a metre to regulars,75 quid to new customers,but i do look after my regulars first,if new customers come back next winter thats a bonus.i'm down to last 30 ton of dry hardwood but have a good stock of softwood/pop/willow for woodburners,in february people will take anything dry

I bought a 23 year old 110 tipper end of the summer didnt really need it couldnt justify it wife moaned like mad. Its mega slow does `15 mpg and its diesel has 1 inch gaps around the doors but when loaded goes anywhere. On the road at least 6 hours a day for the last two weeks. Sending wife out to polish it :lol:

 

6 hours a day? That's only a trip to the shops at those speeds.... :001_tt2:
