Watched a guy once, service a Valtra 6000, all tools in his van, he was all over it in a morning, on site. Boss moaned at the 60 quid per hour. I said, you can actually see he was a Valtra engineer, everything got done far faster than I could have, with factory tools too. Totally impressed. But coming back with no confidence job been done is a waste of yr money Kev.   K

I haven’t actually parted with it yet Khriss.

I’ve been mulling it over (not sure if there’s a pun there or not Mull), watching the thread, considering folks reactions and contemplating next action.

Whether they’ve done an amazing job or a quick oil/filter change and a rush around with the grease gun I think you can’t really lose for £180 odd personally. If it transpires they haven’t sharpened (or at least turned) the blades then you know not to go there again though!

Same as everything else I suppose.

Watch someone chop a tree down on youtube, buy a saw for £60 and do it yourself properly.

Let no one ever complain about paying a pro to cut down your tree.

Don’t get your point.

Why on earth do you think I have a point! It's just some ramblings on of mine.
