Good job, I've now sold a few loads of hardwood rings for 60 a cube, not really worth delivering if less money than that.

How much is a cube in terms of a pick up load?

 

I reckon it’s pretty cheap for what I’m giving them?

Load for a double cab probably is about 1 cube or less if lvl....

If you measure the bed I can tell you, otherwise tricky as I don't have a pickup to measure myself.

Never quote off a photograph.

 

Say 1.8 long x 1.1 wide x 0.5 high, would be 1 cubic metre pretty spot on. It's softwood but you've sawn it all up, seems fair enough to me.

you could look at it, what does it cost?

Working backwards, loading and transport to you, say £25

splitting, say £25

Chopping to length £25

loading / unloading from site to yard £25

 

Drying, storing, profit margin to make up 'ready to burn' cost.

 

Then just add up how much processing went on to get what you get. Approx costs, may vary with area,

Advice please. I have a large amount of freshly cut ash which I want to sell. I never refuse ash from my supplier but I just don't have the time to deal with it at present. But, I would like a bigger chainsaw so I thought I would sell it to raise some cash.

It's basically the useable wood from a whole tree, being 26 rings of 12 in thickness, 18-20 in diameter, 18 larger branches to cut down into smaller rings and a pallet of cordwood. All freshly cut, no rot, no rubbish. 

I don't know whether to try and find a log supplier to take the lot or divide it into 5/6 lots and sell to other log botherers. 

Question: how much to ask? Was thinking £300 for the lot or  £50 a load. 

Note: I do not have the transport to deliver so buyers must collect from Wolverhampton.

I reckon you've cut your market down a huge amount by not being able to deliver, if you can find a log supplier that's interested in what is effectively arb waste for 200 you'll be doing ok.
