great for a bit of hedge laying! its a heavy machete really, for splitting small logs when going into the woods for a few days ray mears styley!

A friend of mine used to make knives and made me this in return for prunning his tree.

Now that is a proper made knife.

 

It has been hand forged, heated, then folded, beat and heated and folded the same many times, the more times it is folded the better.

 

When sharpened then the edge of the fold becomes the cutting edge.

 

All the very best swords used to be made this way
