Tractor plus 3pt chipper plus trailer?

Hello,

 

got a new chipper to go on the tractor. It has a rear ball for an Ifor type trailer. Can it legally be used on the highway to pull a plant trailer with mini digger (to feed the chipper). Or is it purely off road use?

I got a manual for this, do you want it buckshee? I would limit it to off road only, the Chipper is crane fed only too!

Yes, I feed it with an excavator or loader. Be good if it could all go behind each other!

Hi is this to be used in Arb or Forestry work ?

Woodland work. Would be too cumbersome for arb I'd say.

Wouldn’t be safe with that much weight, swing geometry would be crazy, a lot of stress on lift arm stabilizers.

i would think toe ball is only intended for small trailer or chip bin off public roads.

they seem to use dolly type set ups in Europe a lot more than here.

There was a nice set up on here a while back with a long drawbar under chipper.

i think it was a Jensen on a case or a macormack

Yeah, I cant imagine it would be highway approved. Couldn't find anything on the legality on google.

 

I can tow the chipper and loader together on a trailer behind the tractor. Just extra faffing hitching and unhitching.

To make hitching easier could mount a A frame quick hitch like the accord system, to link arms and chipper.

I did see these before. On some implements they would save a lot of cursing!
