Your old one was just the generic one right? Not a custom one?

No it was a photo I uploaded. Nothing important, just don't have it on my phone anymore.

Most photos I take are too big to upload straight away if that's anything to do with it.

Not lost my avatar but not receiving any notifications? Only get to know on activity when i check the app or log on to my email, and everything always going trough to junk? Never happened before, i’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, reset my phone etc as you do, but still the same?
I’m using the app not the desktop and using iphone se, anyone else experiencing the same?
Mr Bullman, anything else i can do?

Cool.  While grabbing your image, I found it Interesting to see what this site used to look like in 2017, brings back memories. ;)

Back on topic.  So as yours was a custom avatar and it went missing means its not just broken generic avatars. I'm curious as to what caused it to happen.

Really not sure. The only thing that we did was download a database backup a little over a week ago. Currently preparing for a large site upgrade and this is being done on a test server. Its possible one of the processes broke something. As i'm busy working on the test server theres not really a massive amount of point me spending time trying to fix the issue here, it will all be fixed when the new site goes live, hopefully around 8 days time.

No problem.  didn't realise you were tinkering behind the scenes. ;)

Does seem a little strange if all you did was take a database backup, that shouldn't break anything at all, so doubtful that caused it.   Obviously using that same database backup on a second site could cause chaos.

Looking forward to the new site then.  Thanks.

Mostly backend changes that will go unnoticed but a lot of small little tweaks that will be visible. Several improvements on the tip site directory also.

im actually running a couple of versions behind on the core software and apparently this avatar issue is related to the version I’m using. What doesn’t make sense is why it only just manifested itself though
