Takes a couple of days to get into it, but yes, I hate leaving the house etc.

After a bit I am into it and enjoy it.

Don't take this the wrong way...but stay off here, it’ll only get you thinking about work.

And take that little narrow gauge railway from Palma that goes through the mountains to the resort town on the other side of the island, that is well worth a couple of quid!

Cheap beer...women walking around in colourful underwear (bikinis)...warm weather and a happy family , I love holidays abroad...Just don't take the Mother in law like we did.

Majorca's great. Plenty to see and do without having to go near a beach. A friend goes there cycling reguarly, as do many pro-teams. There's excellent rock climbing, great scrambling, and fantastic walks of all grades for all abilities. Try the Torrent de Parreis or the Cavall Bernatt ridge for starters. If you go down the first one you get to a beach which you can promptly leave. Nothing of interest there.

Foreign holidays are great and should be compulsory. So far this year I've made it to Finland for New Year, climbed Mount Kenya, that's in Kenya, had an unsuccessful climbing trip to the Himalaya in Nepal, and I'll soon be off climbing in the Japanese Alps, they're in Japan.

No beaches are necessary for an exciting fun packed holiday.

No need for cheap beer either, altitude sickness gives you pretty much the same symptoms as a hangover without having to go to the trouble of getting drunk first.

have spent allot of my life on planes going to or coming back from climbing trees in foreign countries and am off to Germany again two days after getting back from hear am not short of experience of foreign lands I just struggle to relax

You're not alone, I have heard of other similar weird people!

I must admit its only recently I have started enjoying holidays abroad, and I wish I had done it sooner when the kids were younger. I only have a few more years of them joining me on holiday left.

I can't sit around on the beach all day, always have to find activites to do which makes for an expensive holiday usually. 30 minutes on the beach and i've had enough, unless theres some decent snorkelling to be had.
