Its amazing really how people discard photographs with their shadow in as though it ruins the image.

I have a book somewhere about the history of the shadow I think you might like it, if you want to borrow it?.

Found it, its called A short history of the shadow by Victor I Stoichita, it covers shadow in Art, Folk Lore, Fairy tales, and clasical Myths, its a good read I found it very interesting, it covers Platto's cave and a very old but interesting story from 1814 about Peter Schlemihl which is where the saying "Dont sell your soul to the Devil" comes from.
