Police auction site lots of saws worcester area

Mind boggling how you'd stand legally if you were found in possession of stolen goods purchased in good faith from the police 🤔

Police Property Act 1997 covers it, perfectly legal also if you see your stuff being auctioned you can claim it back. Police will have had it for at least a year.

There was me thinking that one of the few benefits of modern dealer only serviceable electronics was that in the event of a theft I stood a chance of seeing it back 🙄

The 1897 act reminds me of the medieval market overts that ceased to be in 1995. I suspect that disposal of assets without the loser having an equal likelihood of seeing them advertised would be open to legal challenge
