I am thinking this may be a Common Hawthorn or Blackthorn. Could someone confirm this please and give any tips on identifying. Thank you very much

Probably prunus spinosa, but could be avium, panicles seem similar, though without clear pictures and bark, its all a little bit like guess work. ?

Yeah that would help. I am not expert but good photos tell the whole story. Or they sometimes say a thousand words.

Prunus avium is most probably correct, but as a few have said, closer inspection needed. If you look to the left in the first photo, I think there is blackthorn beside it which has smaller flowers with a faint pink tinge to them.
