  1. Quick, let's get our knickers in a twist like those damn overly empathetic snowflakes do! Death to synthetic materials! ?

    Willow ID

I trimmed back a similar tree myself recently, the lady who planted it told me it was violet willow
  3. Prunus avium is most probably correct, but as a few have said, closer inspection needed. If you look to the left in the first photo, I think there is blackthorn beside it which has smaller flowers with a faint pink tinge to them.
  4. Looks to me like Cornus kousa, with the fruit beginning to form.
  5. Hi there, I do a lot of work on a Christmas tree farm and we have loads cut, just keep them outside, preferably in shade and out of strong winds and they'll be fine

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
