Hi new to the forum. I’m looking for more grunt than my 660, I did think about getting another and double end bar. But want a big single power head set up for now I’d love a 090 av if anyone has one for sale. Or even feedback on how they compare to the 880. I’m going to be running 72” bar max and probably once haha. Will be wearing a 42”-48” for everyday.   Any feedback is welcome. Even open to thoughts on a 3120xp. Thanks

I use an 088 for my 48" Mill, no issues at all. I think plenty people use the 880 for bars up to 84".

Im not sure what the specs on a modern 880 verses an older 090 are anyway? Maybe the 880 has more grunt?

Get an 880.
The 090 is a great saw but very outdated.
It's slow, noisy, and very expensive to fix.
The 880 is faster but does have less torque.
Not a problem with 84" bars.
Just remember to get an auxiliary oiler if going over 48".

I’ve already made up a oiler for the mill. Simple and effective. I just love the look of the 090 and noise. Years since I seen 1. Haha. But not looking possible to get in the uk. I can get 1 imported if I sell a kidney. 880 looks like the 1. Got a price on 1 for £1210 all in last week. If the bastard 660 would run for more than a week right now I’d be able to afford it. ?

Someone was selling one, almost brand new on here for a Bag of Sand. Maybe worth looking?

Would prefer new at that price but worth a look. Do you know where I’ll find it?

Nah, sorry, was in the for sale section a while back. Think it had a few extra's thrown in? Maybe sold now.
