Echo 2511TES, help!

Replacing a broken throttle trigger and this is my first venture into the inner workings of this model. A tiny 3mm ball bearing has dropped from the handle assembly and onto the worktop. Where has it come from?

Take it to the dealer, let the pro sort it.

Much as I love mine, the plastics and niggly little bits are really rubbish!

Mine is back at the dealers, dying for no reason, pig to restart.

 

Usual scenario with the mechanic ‘you don’t know how to start it’ etc.

 

Took the plug out and discovered the spark was weak and intermittent.

 

We will see..

Surely not a 3mm ball bearing in the throttle linkage? Have a deeks at the parts diagram? Often sheds some light

Could well be a 3mm ball of crap that’s accumulated rattling about in the handle, I’ve seen them before.....

I have never came across any ball bearings in the handle! Could possibly be from the inside of the on/off switch but they are fairly well sealed.

Unless they fall out and I just don't notice, I will check the floor of the workshop tomorrow.

 

Mick, have a look at the fuel pipe as I have seen a few split right where it attaches to the filter in the tank,  which then causes then filter in the carb to get blocked.

These haven't caused any trouble for us yet in two years. One tune up,  but that's been it until the throttle trigger snapped (thanks for the replacement Mark @ Skyland). They're like powered Silkys!

Enough of this work stuff now....
