I'd be switching between winching and grabbing constantly. I've 1200t to bring to a track 4m wide and 200m long, hence the need for efficient material handling.

Twin Wheel Motor Winches on the Boom, just smaller scale like that one on the JCB Blade for a smaller carrier machine.

Be 30k I’d expect Radio Remote.

Ouch! I was looking at £50k maybe for total build cost, so maybe not attainable.

if your grabbing hold of trees of that size i would be a bit warey of the zero swing, as a guy who i have worked with on and off for 30 odd years was dead set on a zero swing 13/14 tonne machine with front blade untill he went for a demo on 2 different machines and took his crushing bucket, ok bucket is nearly a tonne and holds about 1/2 tonne but when slewing round with a bit of reach on he said it was very unstable when side on, so he ended up with a 13 tonne normal dooson,

Done some mulling it over, I’d say 65k ish, to build a nice, I’m going to say 10 tonne unit, basically the full fat 8 tonner class or even better a Komatsu Pc118 if you can find one.

That would be with twin boom mounted wheel motor winches and fixed mount Intermercato grab.

Get in a lot of places and do a huge variety of work.
