If you’re wanting demountable and more affordable solutions, then either a 3 point linkage winch so you can use it on the machine and a tractor.

Otherwise this was for a JCB setup I helped a guy with.

John Craig did this demountable Wheel Motor winch setup which obviously comes with a good turn of speed and large amount of cable.

I saw a video of this or a similar tajfun set up working but could not find it for this thread... looking pretty good.

Some interesting ideas certainly, but I do really need the ability to be able to grab the timber once it's winched up.

Used to take under a minute to put the Engcon and Grab back on if you knew what you were doing, it was all on Ec-Oil automatic hitch.

Could you not build something to go on the back or front of the logbullet?

The trees we'll be dealing with will be much too large. 2-3 cube some of them.

I'd be switching between winching and grabbing constantly. I've 1200t to bring to a track 4m wide and 200m long, hence the need for efficient material handling.

All depends on final spec, but expect to spend more than the base machine would cost on conversion work.

I’m hopefully going to build one to sell this year that really will be some tool, as I’ve all the knowledge gained from the others and a few advancements that I had to wait to finally become available.

10 years since I did the first this year, and that’s still going, seemingly busier than ever.

Sort of an anniversary build one in mind.

Eddie.
