So........ Skyline logging

So... for some unaccountable reason, I have found myself fascinated by Skylines this week.

Now I started out with the FC in Scotland some decades ago, but only once saw a Skyline parked in a yard and could never work it out......

I admit I have only seen it in action on the telly .  Axe Men and the like . Wish I had some experience of it though , then I could do a proper neck roll now and then . ?

You have to do a few weeks of chokers before you'd have a clue what to do in the cab.
I'd rather be felling.

Well, it's seein the guy on here with his mini forwarder n the whole low-impact hard to reach forestry areas that a lightweight set-up could achieve.  I can see it in use on some of the development sites I have worked on - dragging out big brash n trunks that a tracked chipper would not reach on banks or wet areas.

I have a old single cylinder Petter doing nowt, an old Landrover to tow it - just need double drum Boughton an fuck loads of wire rope K
