Im a great believer in gaurd dogs.my pit bull/english cross was the buisness just had to bark at people and they started to cry.pity he got poisoned last year.gat a mastif cross thats relaited to tommers one now.

 

That was a crying shame what happened to Brew mate:thumbdown:. He will be long remembered.

 

I think they would think twice if met by Dodger mind!

I found an American dog site that had done a survey of loads of protection dog trainers / breeders. They rated the Bull Mastiff as the best guard dog in the world, knocking the Dobie into second and the GSD was in about 5th.

 

It doesn't surprise me, they're massively powerful dogs. A garage out in the sticks where I get my MOTs done used to have one, it used to walk around the forecourt with a car tyre in its mouth with a Jack Russel hanging off the tyre, legs off the ground.
